Italy Visas
Technical and professional education courses beyond the level of compulsory education (legal adults over 18 years old).
This visa is intended for seconded employees with a formative project drawn up between the host company and the local administration.
The “nulla osta” (authorization to work) is issued by the “Sportello Unico” (Immigration Desk) after the request of the authority in which the training will take place.
The “progetto formativo” (formative project) indicating the training length should be approved by the “regione” (region, i.e. Italian territorial authority) and attached to the request.
Documents required for training:
1.visa application form;
2. recent passport photo;
3. valid travel document whose expiry date exceeded at least 3 months the visa’s expiration;
4. course application form indicating its daily hours and its length;
5. homeland education certificate;
6. proof of available means of support during the stay in Italy, which should not be lower than these reported in Table A, enclosed in the Home Office directive (1st march 2000);
7. proof of available appropriate accommodation in Italy and of the amount needed for the repatriation, which could also be proved by a return fly ticket;
8. insurance coverage for health care and hospitalization, demonstrating by:
–consular declaration which guarantees the health care as a consequence of specific agreements between Italy and the employee’s homeland;
–a foreign  insurance policy or an insurance policy which should be taken out with Italian agencies, which should not apply restrictions or exceptions to the fee for the emergency hospitalization.
